PASADENA ARROYO

Nestled in along the edge of Pasadena’s Arroyo sits this large back yard re-created into a park-like setting, complete with mature Oak and Sycamore trees, a stream, DG seating areas, a large, communal fire pit for gatherings, and drought tolerant plantings. The use of river rock for walls and the stream visually relates this garden to the surrounding neighborhood and its historical use of local materials. The provision of a water source and native plantings mean that birds, bees, and butterflies are constants in this garden; there is always something to watch, enjoy, and be appreciative of.
